    This is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere and was planned as part of the 1979’s Centrepoint shopping centre. The tower has three double-decker lifts and it can carry up to 2,000 people every hour. It takes the lift 40 seconds to go from the bottom to the top. From the observation level you can see some beautiful views over Sydney and the marvellous harbour and you can see the Blue Mountains away in the west. Sydney tower is situated above the Centrepoint Shopping complex. If you enter through the Market street foyer you can take the lift to the podium and then get the fast lift to the observation level. It was not completed until 1981. From the tower you can see a 360º view of the city. The tower is 305 metres high.

    Go to the top of Centre Point Tower, which I think is now known as AMP Tower. Here you can see 360 degrees of Sydney and surrounds. Excellent views of the harbour and Blue Mountains on a clear day. They have a restaurant at the top which rotates!!

    Fantastic views over the whole city from the viewing area at the top of the tower. There is also a restaurant at the top for a great meal as long as your not scared of heights.

    Great view and the skytour experience is pretty good too - a history of Australia in about 10 minutes.

    This is the classic view towards the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera and the old part of Sydney at The Rocks. It looks spectacular from so high above.

    The panoramic view from the Sydney tower is spectacular - on the East side you see the entire Harbour Bay towards to coastline.

    This is the view to the South towards the airport and southern shores. One gets a feeling as to how large Sydney is from an eagles point of view!

    This view offers vistas across the Darling Harbour and other parts of the wharfs of Sydney Port. The old town with the town hall and cathedral is also in this direction.

    The most fantastic view of Sydney Harbour and downtown (350m above Sydney). I went on a clear day and could see for miles. I am certain that a night visit while some fireworks are on would be spectacular (when I was visiting Sydney there were fireworks every night in the harbour - seriously!!). In the picture to your left you can see the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, McQuarrie Point, and Fort Denison. The entrance fee was $6.00 Australian.
