    Just 100km west of Sydney spectacular nature! and if you go just a little away from the main roads, you'll have it almost for yourself.
    Just a little north begins Wooleemi NP, even more 'remote' (not compared to some other parks in australia, but for this area...) which is as beautiful.

    The Blue Mountains are a gorgeous place to go. You can admire the view or attempt the 800 stairs to hike down. Either way, it's a trip that shouldn't be forgotten.

    The Blue Mountains are a must see for any first time visitor to this area. They are lovely.

    If possible it would probably be best to hire a car to get around. We went on an organised trip from Sydney and although it was a good day out, you are limited to what you can do and where you can go.

    The Blue Mountains are about an hour out of Sydney. We hired a car and drove there, which is very easy, but there are numerous Trips you can take if you want to take it easy. The main tourist trail takes you to Echo Point, where you can get stunning views across the Mountains. The Blue Haze seen in the valleys is due to the Eucalyptus oil from the trees. The most famous rock formation is the 3 Sisters, which can be reached with an easy walk up from Echo Point. Can't say I was too impressed with Katoomba itself which we thought was a bit hicksy, but the Mountains themselves are stunning.

    The Blue Mountains are an enormous area of hiking trails and sight-seeing opportunities.
    Regardless which part of this region you choose to explore, breathtaking scenery is assured.
    This is the perfect opportunity for a breather after exploring Sydney. Opportunities for tranquil bushwalks aplenty.
    the below is a little pic of the wentworth falls. it is quite easy to find as it is in a suburb called wentworth falls.

    The Blue Mountains are very close to Sydney and well worth a two day trip (at least!). The trip to Katoomba, the 'capital' of the BM takes two hours from Sydney Central and sets you back $ 11.
