 | Sydney Sports Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 14 | | The Archery Park adjoins Haslams Creek and wetlands and is part of the open space of Sydney Olympic Park. The building design is distinctly Australian, emulating the age-old beach umbrella or a lean-to hay shed. Its slightly further away from the Olympic Stadium but a ride along the road will bring you there. Leave a Comment

My husband and I have benn following the greyhounds on Sky Chanel for a while now, and so a trip to Sydney would not be complete for us, without a trip to the Wenty dogs. If you are not really into dog racing, it is still a great night out, especially for families. They have a big undercover stand, betting facilities, a bar, food outlets, lawns etc. If you get a nice warm night like us, you might even see a trainer feeding his dog a soft serve icecream at the end of the night as a reward! I was among the lucky few thousand who saw Steve Waugh play his last innings as Australian Captain. It was a sad day, sad mainly becuase the Aussies didn't have much of a go in chasing India's target, and they drew, but it was nice to see the respect that everyone has for Steve and the end of his international career. There are heaps of other photos in my Cricket travelouge. Watch a cricket match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Aussies are fanatical about their sport and likewise so are the visiting supporters. On my first visit to Aus I watched an Australia vs Pakistan day/night game. On my second visit I saw the first day of the test match against South Africa. The atmosphere is great. Sydney is a great place to learn SCUBA diving! There's abundance of highly qualified diving schools with friendly and helpful instructors. I find Bondi Road Dive Centre to be one of the best around. Sydney offers surprisingly good dive sites, considering its a harbour city with a busy water way and 4 million people! Good dive sites includes; North Bondi, Camp Cove, South Head, Bare Island, Maroubra, and Gordon Bay. Leave a Comment

Australia’s four highest peaks are in the Snowy Mountains and so is the best snow. With more than 230 kilometres of groomed trails, from beginners to championship level, and cross country skiing, these snowfields are a favourite winter playground. For seasoned skiers or snowboarders, there are countless ‘cruises’ to sink their edges into and plenty of challenges off-piste. There are also gentler slopes and classes for the novice. The snowfield resorts are also known for their friendly hospitality, spectacular scenery, and bars, restaurants and apres-ski entertainment. At the foot of Mount Crackenback is Thredbo, a re-creation of a European Alpine village. It has a charming storybook atmosphere and is home to Australia’s longest ski run – the fantastic Funnelweb. Australia’s biggest resort is Perisher Blue. Here four resorts unite to create a mecca for snow bunnies. It features an enormous variety of runs, especially for intermediate skiers and snowboarders, and in Perisher village there is fabulous on-snow lodge accommodation. The Sewlyn Snowfields are friendly and affordable, with ski runs to suit all standards. It’s perfect for beginners, families and even the non-skier who can let loose tobogganing and snow tubing on specially designed runs. Charlotte Pass is ideal for families and like Sewlyn has good lodge accommodation. The hub of this mini-village is the beautiful, rambling stone Chalet, and other excellent lodges. No crowds or lift queues are major highlights. Leave a Comment Address: Sydney, AustraliaWebsite: www.sydney.com Other Contact: www.australia.com
