    Among the most photographed bridges in the world, Sydney Harbour bridge is one of the landmarks of this lovely city. The view here is taken from The Rocks. While I did not climb the Bridge, I did walk a way over it on the pedestrian walkway, which gave another view of the Sydney Opera House. The Bridge spans the harbour from Dawes Point to Milsons Point. The bridge is 134 metres high, 503 metres long, and 48.8 metres wide and weighs 52,500 tonnes. It was constructed between 1923 and 1932, and is nicknamed "The Coathanger". Bookings are essential if you wish to climb the bridge.

    Like hanging off the yardarm? Fancy a pull on the halyard? Like flopping around in canvas? Shame you weren't here on this day! It was a festival of tall ships and the harbourside was littered with people at all vantage points. Literally thousands of craft were on the water on a typically Aussie day. Lovely sunshine, a bit of cloud and a thousand boats with the Sydney skyline. Something to do with the Bi-Centenerary of white occupation. Doesn't get much better than this.

    Roughly $125 dollars and well worth every penny...but make sure you book well in advance and make sure you dont go on a major bender the night before !!!

    River Cruise is something you don't want to miss when visiting Sydney. I cruised from Olympic Stadium to Circular Quay. However, a local suggested an hour cruise from Circular Quay to Manly Island and back.

    Boat tours from Circular Quay will take you to Fort Denison ~ it's a great place to explore a bit and view the habour from a different angle. The Fort has a pretty gruesome history ~ vividly interesting, to say the least. :-)

    In August there were whales coming in to Sydney Harbour. We tok a Water taxi to look at them - so exiting!
