Sydney Harbour: Sydney Harbour and the opera...
  • Tip Rating:
  • Sydney Harbour and the opera house Visiting Sydney is just not complete without a daytrip to Circular Quay and the famous opera. At Circular Quay you have the possibility to take a ferry for a round trip through Sydney Harbour. The longest trip lasts about 2 hours. Back in the harbour you may have a short walk to the opera and the Botanic Garden. If you want a meal on a daytrip, just look around in the harbour. You will find something from small to big money. Really good are those small shops at Circular Quay, but if you want it more exlusive take a short walk to rocks. --- You should taste real australian cooking ... it's fantastic!

  • Directions: You find Circular Quay very easily, because it's a main point in the public traffic directly in the heart of Sydney.

    Sydney Harbour: Sydney Harbour Cruise
  • Tip Rating:
  • If you don't have much time in Sydney do the cruise. It gives you a good perspective to the different areas you can visit and the views are fantastic. The best time to go on this is 30-45 minutes before sun down.

Sydney Harbour: Take all the Ferry trips...
  • Tip Rating:
  • Take all the Ferry trips around the Harbour - there's 65 miles of shore line in Sydney Harbour - that you possibly can. Walk across the Coat-Hanger (the Bridge) you can it's free. visit all the Beaches, they too are free. By Aussie Law, all citizens have the right of access to the water. Take the night ferry trip around the Harbour, dine & dance as you cruise among the lights of the City.

    Sydney Harbour: Visiting the wharfs
  • Tip Rating:
  • Visiting the wharfs (maybe starting by Circular Quay - 'key') If you like a seaside city, this is the first place to see after arriving to Sydney. Also if you want to move in one of the miriad ferries connecting different neighbourhoods of the city... or just watch for the activity while you enjoy your holidays while having some refreshments on a terrace bar :)
