I definitely didn't want to leave

Sydney is an easy, carefree city and I can see why you wouldn't want to leave. During my visit I found myself wondering what it would be like to live in such a beautiful city. I didn't want to leave and I promised myself that even though I had to leave, I would return very soon.

    Enjoying beautiful Sydney

Oh please. Appart from some usually pretty smelly streets and foul language, it's not much harm until you incapacitate yourself and fall around the street drunk or high looking for trouble. It gets roudy... but unless you prod the spiders they stay in their corners.. and sometimes people get mugged in alley ways. But as a girl living and working alone their for a year... I never once felt threatened. If you want a quiet or respectable night out, then no this night spot and redlight district aint the place. But there are a few cool cafes and nightclubs.

...with Sydney. I've only been here now for almost 2 days and already i just absolutely love it. I know i have to go home tomorrow but i really don't want to! I just absolutely love Sydney. Its cost me a lot, but it has just been excellent. The good news though is that if yoú are as "unfortunate" as i was, and have been bitten by the Sydney bug, there are some resources available to help you: (to fund your newfound love)

My fake 'arrest' in the Sydney Olympic park during the summer Games 2000. Certainly due to the fact I was yodling SWISS, SWISS, SWISS, GO, GO, GO... and wearing a white and red flag instead of green and yellow one;-) Just kidding it was the most fairplay athmosphere that I ever experience in sports!!!

Afterward I do not know why the two police officers insist to take a picture with me in front of Stadium Australia (you could guess it in the background...)

Good escort for a little Swiss supporter...

Australia was one of the most remarkable travel experiences I have ever made. Its people, the landscapes, the cosmopolitan cities and the great out door experience both in the outback, the corals of the Great Barrier Reef, the tropical cities in the north and then the most magnificent on earth – Sydney!
The biggest warning of all – and not sure if it is a bad one – you may never want to leave again…. For me I can’t wait to get back – and I am flying back “Down Under” in the next few weeks again!

Not a true warning, but a place to put a farewell photo. The Opera House at dusk and a small ferry passing by. A trip to Sydney always ends too soon! Some real warnings are listed under this heading.
