Scuba Diving lessons for beginners are available through the Terrigal Dive Centre run by one of the coast's most experience scuba divers.
Apart from providing lessons, the company also arranges trips for experienced divers to dive with grey nurse sharks. It's a deep dive, so experienced divers only. Cost, including gear, is A$85 and from March through May the sharks come here to breed. Up to eight can be seen together on any one dive.
Equipment: Equipment is available from the Divie Centre, or you can bring your own.
In the bay alongside Terrigal beach called The Haven, giant stingrays up to six feet across the wings are present most of the year. If you're a basic qualified diver, Terrigal Dive Centre will hire the gear and point you in the right direction, and off you go for a do-it-yourself adventure. The stingrays are 'tame' enough to let you stroke them.
Equipment: Gear from Terrigal Dive Centre, The Haven, Terrigal.
The waters off Terrigal are teeming with fish.
For those of you who are into Deep Sea Fishing, I suggest it's another reason to visit Terrigal. Two companies operate from The Haven, Central Coast Charters and Haven Charters.
Equipment: All equipment is provided by the companies.
The beachfront sign says it all" De Agony of De Feet". Want to be part of it , then just be at the sign at 6am on a Saturday. One thing for certain you will have great ocean views, lets hope they do not choose the hill track.
