well its the easiest mountain youll ever climb. you can take the clairlift to 1900m and then a 5 hour walk accross the plateu to the summit at 2228m. the scenery is beautiful of course....except when its raining, hailing, windy and freezing cold like it was when I did it the first time

its rather odd that theres a map at 1900m cause there is a metel walkway all the way to the top guiding you...and thats the only path to follow...unless you venture towards charlottes pass

...or you'll have to eat ice. Then again, there is a pub at 1900m, and its a nice respite from the winter elements

We visited Thredbo over the New Years Eve period in 2004/2005... It was a great trip, even though it was only for 3 nights... There is so much to see and do in Thredbo...even in the summer... ;)...
