    If you are in Thredbo during the warmer months then you should do the walk to the top of Mt Kosciuszko! It took us around 5 hours to walk there and back but we did stop a lot for photos, a picnic etc. :)

    Take lots of water and put on HEAPS of sunscreen... Also take something to eat along the way and some warm clothes...it gets COLD up there!!!

    Make sure you have a go of the bobsled/toboggan if it's open while you're at Thredbo... It is heaps of fun!!!! :)

    We had 3 goes each as part of our 2 day ticket (bikes, chairlift, swim and bobsled for $47 each).

    We also saw an 'older' couple (maybe in their late 60's) have a go on the bobsled and they loved it so much they went back for seconds! :)

    Prices are $5.50 for one ride, $26.50 for six rides, $40 for 10 rides...

    If you feel like a swim, game of squash or spending some time in the gym then go to the Thredbo Leisure Centre.

    They have a big pool and a heated pool as well as a little water slide (it's free). They also have a squash court and a huge gym plus a basketball, volleyball, badminton etc hall.

    Prices vary depending on what you want to do so check out the website if you're interested...

    You can walk to a viewing platform on the Mt Kosciuszko walk, or go right up to the top of the mountain. I think the first half of the walk was the hardest so if you make it to the platform then you should keep going... :) It's VERY windy and cold up on top so don't forget to take some warm clothes...

    This is Mt Kosciuszko (in the middle with the snow on it) from the walking track...

    While in Thredbo in the warmer months you should hire a mountain bike and go for a ride... It's heaps of fun and you will see a lot of the village and outlying areas... It's hard to pedal up some steep roads but it is worth the effort... :)

    Thredboland. While the resort village in the mountains are full of people from all walks of life, there's a place for the young ones too. At Fridays Flat Thredboland thrives and the little ones can learn the art of moving on snow.

    I was really surprised to find snow at Mt Kosciuszko!!! All of the mountains around us had patches of snow still from winter... Plus it had snowed only a couple of days before we got there - in the middle of summer!!!!

    While you're in Thredbo, it's worth stopping in the village for a bit of a look around (shops were expensive, even the supermarket, so we just had a coffee in one of the funky/trendy cafes, and continued on our walk of the town and hilly surroundings.
    There's also a visitor information centre where you can get maps of the walking trails, book tours and more.
