The Ferry is my favorite way to get to Watsons Bay. Hop on a ferry from Circular Quay and off you go. The ferry also provided a good view of the Harbour especially the Opera House.
Riding a ferry is one of my favorite ways to get around in Sydney. The ride is pleasant and when it's not to hot out; we love sitting outside for the ride.
When looking at a cheap way to reach Watsons Bay?. catch a ferry.!! Because when you are "out and about" in Sydney so many destinations can be easily reached by the Sydney Ferry System. Utilising the ferries in this way is a really pleasurable way to see so much more of Sydney from the water..This also creates for the traveller many photo opportunitiese that otherwise wouldn't present themselves.
The ferry system is easy to use and they are many . They reach a vast amount of different destinations around the city's harbour..Of course when you arrive at a ferry destination there is always a bus to meet you for further travel onto other local destinations..The best way to utilise many daily destinations by ferry and the cheapest, is to buy a daily ticket , providing that you take many journeys...This is a great way to see Sydney. The main ferries departure point is Circular Quay .Here you will find all ferry times and destinations on digital read out boards.
During our 2007 trip we took the 380 from Bondi Junction out to the beach and then when we were done with the beach decided to ride it to its end up in Watson's Bay. It was a nice ride from Bondi to Watsons Bay and provided a nice stop for a drink before hopping on a ferry.
Our 2010 trip we took the bus from Watsons Bay all the way back to Circular Quay just because we had never done it before. It was a nice ride and provided a mini sightseeing experience of different neighborhoods.
The best way to get to Watson's Bay from Sydney is by ferry or Seacat. The ferry is a slower mode of transportaion while the Seacat will get you there faster.
