These beautiful waterfalls are located near the New South Wales border, the nearest town being Killarney.
They can be reached from Boonah following a scenic drive, (The Falls drive, see info centre for details)
The walk around to the 40 metre high cascading falls over balsat rock, is through open forest, tall redgums and sub-tropical rainforest, a 2kms fairly easy walk. As I wandered along the path, I saw Easter Water Dragons basking in the sun on the rocks, King Parrots and some smaller birds in the trees. Coming in Spring, the wildflowers are in bloom.
If you want a nice relaxing stay, there is the Caravan park, which has camping sites and also and array of different size and priced Cabins.

Only a short drive from Boonah, is the little town of Kalbar. Located in a scenic setting, it has some old historic buildings. One of them is a shop, "Wiss Brothers Emporium." It is open to the public on Sundays, and sells designer fashion label clothes and accessories, also, arts and crafts.

This is the name of a locality, on a road leading out of Kalbar. All that is here, is a Church, old Cemetery, and a few houses with nice countryside views.
