The Elephant & Wheelbarrow: Fancy a 'pot' of beer?

Yes Queenslanders do call them pots (apparently!). Better get used to some pretty bizaare terminology if you are planning a trip to these parts.

I've attached a website to assist you with this.

Dress Code: Casual is fine.

The Elephant and Wheelbarrow

The Elephant and Wheelbarrow is an English style pub. Located at the bottom of the Fortitude Valley mall on Wickham St, the pub is an easy walk from Brunswick St train station. You can order meals, have a few drinks and generally chill out with your mates. Sunday afternoon or early evening it's a great place for a quiet drink. There is a backpackers upstairs, so it's not uncommon to meet travellers. I've only checked out the place a few times on a Friday or Saturday night, and when I've been there's been a covers band playing. The music was good but more mainstream that some of the Valley clubs, and it does sometimes strike me as a place full of people trying to pick up (towards the end of the night anyway). If you're into that or are happy to tell people where to go, this is all good. Great for a laugh and an easy night out with your mates.

Dress Code: Anything seems to go.
