    Medieval day out

Jousting, Archery, Fire Breathing, Massive Markets, Bands, Tavern, Gladiators, Vikings, Knights, Damsels, Belly Dancers, Craft Displays, Acrobats, Canons, Re-nactments, Living History Encampments and much, much more........

This is an annual event in which the general public can get a feel of the Medieval life.

It is held in Musgrave Park and attracts a lot of visitors (Very quick to get through the gate though).

At the Field of Honour, many events take place. There is jousting on horseback (they actually use lances where the tip breaks on contact), the opening ceremony, the grand parade (all those in costume display themselves grouped into the medieval society they belong to), full contact battles (blunt weapons and plenty of padding and armour), musket firing and this year (2004) 4 cannons were fired one after the other (last year they set off car alarms and one building had to be evacuated as they didn't know what the noise was).

At the stalls, they sell all different kinds of goods. Jewellery, weapons, armour, food, crystals and many more items that are all excellent quality and there is a very large range.

There is also medival style activites that you can partake in, for example archery.

Located all around the park are displays by each medieval society showing where their interests lie, and their level of expertise in recreating days gone by.

A brillant day out for all types of people as there is something always going on.
