    Stop 9 on Reflections of the River heritage trail
    Parliament House opened in 1868, although Parliament was held earlier, it was in the Prisoner's Barracks.
    You can watch Parliament in action from the visitor's gallery, or you can take a FREE HALF HOUR guided tour.
    On sitting days, tours are 10.30am & 2.30pm only. Saturday & Sunday tours are for 20minutes between the times of 10am - 2pm.

    Its a beautiful old building built in the style of the French Renaissance, with the roof being made out of Copper mined at Mount Isa in Queensland.
    The FREE LOOP BUS will take you to the Government buildings area.

    At the corner of Alice and George St. is Queensland's regal copper-topped Parliament House. You're free to watch the law-makers in action from the public balcony on days when parliament is sitting. The structure dates from 1868 and was built in French Renaissance-style.
