Treasury Casino Brisbane

Treasury Casino is just like any other Casino in the World, if you want to gamble, then this is the place to come!
There is an endless choice of gambling activities, more than 80 gaming tables, as well as 1,300 gaming machines, that is not all though, the casino also provides live entertainment every night.

They do have promotions on all the time to suck you in, so check out the website for details when you are here.

What I did find, was that having a meal here was not as expensive as I thought it would be, and it was very nice. There are quite a few choices of dining areas, about five, I think, and they range from casual to fine dining, you choose the one to suit your style and budget.

Even if you are not into gambling, check out the historic building, it is Brisbane's Old Treasury building that was constructed between 1885 - 1889. The architectural style of this massive sandstone building can be compared to that of the 16th century Italian architecture, another beautiful old building to be admired inside and outside!

Brisbane's Treasury Casino

Brisbane's Treasury Casino is located at the end of Queen Street Mall. If you like to play cards or have the urge to hit the slot machines; the Treasury is for you.

I have been to a few casinos around the world and this one is "OK". The slot machines very from 1 penny to 1 dollar and they can eat up the money fast. So, beware to the novice.

Being the only Casino in the area, I felt that there were little promotions offered. Maybe I am a bit spoiled having gone to Las Vegas, however the Casino had a couple of nice dining areas as well as a buffet that seemed overwhelmingly busy. Later in the evening they have a band that keeps us tourists entertained as they empty your wallet at the BLACKJACK tables. Hotel rooms were nice according to one of my friends that stayed there, but a bit overpriced.

Travel2writes Tips for success:
1. If you win, leave with your winnings!
2. Set a limit you feel is reasonable to spend, and stick to it!
3. Set a departure time and stick to it!
4. Don't drink so much you don't care if you win or loose.
5. Hit the buffet early, so at least your won't be hungry after you have spent all that money.

Overall
If you have never been to a Casino before, come and check it out. If you’re a frequent Casino patron, you may be disappointed.

This magnificant old building has probably been saved from a dreadful fate by being taking in hand by Conrad - Casino Conrad that is. The complex occupies the original Brisbane Treasury Building plus the Lands Administration Building, providing accommodation.

There are 96 rooms available for accommodation, and no 2 rooms are alike. There have been a number of awards won since opening in April 1995.

The opulent casino constructed around the retained ornate collonades and sandstone walls boasts a 6 storey atrium. There is a 3 level gaming emporium, comprising of 80 gaming tables and over 1300 gaming machines.

An interesting place to walk through - never rest my addictive bones at these things!

The casino is well placed, in the middle of the city - and walking distance to or from any of the major city sites, and there is a ferry stop just across the road.

By the way, the hands up in the second picture are people telling me NOT to take photographs! I'm no gambler, and I really didn't know the rules!

Brisbane's Treasury Casino at Night

Brisbane's Treasury Casino is an easy walk from Queen street Mall, If you do not like gambling it is worth visiting just to admire the architecture of the old Treasury Building. At night it is a very glamourous building and well worth visiting.

Like a museum more than a casino!

On the night I arrived in Brisbane, most places were closed apart from some restaurants and this casino. Since my friends got the member cards, they could get free drinks inside the casino. So I was there, watching people gambling their lives away while enjoying my free cup of hot mocha. There is a balcony outside the gambling machine area, that's the best place of the building... for us.

Treasury Building - Casino

At the end of the Queen St Mall is Brisbane's magnificient Italian Renaissance-style Treasury Building. In 1995 the Treasury was converted to use as a casino with accompanying bars and restaurants.

Casino..

The Treasury Casino offers 3 levels of gaming facilities, with aproximately 100 tables, and 1100 gaming machines.
Across Queens park, The Conrad International Hotel offers visitors a blend of Colonial charm, with all the modern conveniences.
