At Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains next to the National Park, you are sure to spot Pademelons and other Wallabies feeding on the lovely green grass near the Cafe and surrounds. We spotted quite a few infront of the large Conference Centre, so keep your eyes open.
There is also a camping ground here if you wish to camp, plenty of Wallabies around the campground.

There are quite a few different walks of all different levels of fitness that you can do.
At the settlement of Dandabah, walks will take you to Festoon Falls, Tim Shea Falls, Paradise Falls, Big and Little Falls, Barker Creek Lookout and Pine Gorge Lookout.
I have done some of these walks years ago, and they were lovely, so now on vt, thought would do them again, and get some photo's. No such luck. A wet, foggy, miserable day, it would not have been very good trekking through the Rainforest, so will just have to go back again!
The Government National Parks website has a map and all the necessary information on the walks, and what to see and do in the National Park.

Cedarvale Cottage is a small Museum located at Dandabah. Volunteers run it, and it showcases the history of the Bunya Mountains from the traditional Bunya Nut feasts to the relics of the pioneer timber - cutting days.
Admission is FREE, donations are accepted though.
