Favorite thing: The beaches are gorgeous set amongst tropical gardens, the island is truly a lovely get-away from the normal cities and offers travelers a taste of paradise.
Fondest memory: Relaxing under a coconut tree and watching the magnificent sunsets with a cocktail in hand !

The Island is situated 4.5km offshore from the small coastal town of Mission Beach which has a population of approximately 2000 people. Mission Beach is just under 2 hours drive south of Cairns and just over 2.5 hours drive north of Townsville.

Favorite thing: The thing about dunk island is if you want to completely unwind and relax its the perfect place to go, but, also if you want to try some water sports and golf, and hiking then theres that too. Whatever your preferences are you'll find a really nice welcome at dunk. Even though there are lots of activities available, it is soooooo peaceful. You would never know that around the corner from where you are sunbathing in the hammock on the beach there is a game of volleyball going on, or archery, or tennis.
Fondest memory: My best memory is chilling out on the beach in a hammock or around the swimming pool. truely relaxing.
