Blarneys.: Up Market-Blarneys.

Blarneys offers excellent service, atmosphere and food. The menu is mostly meat dishes with some old favourites like steak and kidney pie. If you are looking for an initmate and cozy place for a romantic dinner then you cannot pass Blarney's.

It's located south of Mission Beach and its not advisable to book unless you are staying overnight at Mission Beach.

Horizons: Fine-dining
Openseas profile photo
Openseas 832 reviews

Horizons is located in South Mission Beach, so this article only relates to those who have a car park at Mission Beach. If you are exploring the mainland and wanting to relax then try Horizons for an intimate dinner or lunch overlooking a breathtaking view of the Family Group Islands and Dunk Island.

Our lunch was delightful and the staff a credit to this establishment. We enjoyed dining here and having such an awesome view was very romantic and special. This is a great spot for dinner or lunch, bookings would be advisable.

This restaurant is not cheap but if looking for something special then this restaurant is the best in town.

Parking is available and there is a nice cocktail bar.

cbCafe Coconutz: want to have fun!
Openseas profile photo
Openseas 832 reviews

Cafe Coconutz is a laid back casual cafe with a small and intimate courtyard offering okay meals with an Asian flavour. The cafe turns into a bar after dark and its a fantastic place to hang out to meet other travelers and the locals. We had a fabulous night here enjoying some excellent company, especially with the colourful locals.

Cafe Coconutz is located in Mission Beach, so if you are thinking of exploring the delights of the mainland from Dunk Island I highly recommend spending an after dinner drink at Coco.

Favorite Dish: the local people.

If traveling from Dunk Island to Mission Beach and if your in need of a good restaurant, then try Castaways on the beaach.

The restaurant in Castaways Resort which is located on the beach approx 5 mins walk along the beach is a little more upmarket offering a good wine list and selection of fresh food. The restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and beach.

There are two pools which serves food at any time of the day. The Butterfly Pool the main pool overlooking the beach and bay serves a good selection of Asian cuisine, whilst the Cascade pool serves light refreshments like sandwiches, drinks and coffee.

The Terrace: The Terrace
Openseas profile photo
Openseas 832 reviews

The Terrace is located overlooking the Cascade pool and offers guests a great selection of Pizza's and pasta. An excellent salad bar is also available with your pasta dishes. Day visitors have the opportunity to dine here or at the jetty bar using their day pass.

Its opened daily between 11am - 3pm and dinner operates from 6pm to keep the families happy.

It's a casual restaurant with a large open wood pizza oven which seems to dominate the restaurant. The service was slow but the staff very friendly, we decided we just needed to relax into holiday mode. This restaurant is perfect for children and families.

Favorite Dish: Pasta

Voyages fine dining restaurant.: Stunning views
Openseas profile photo
Openseas 832 reviews

The main restaurant is located just above the swimming pool and next door to the bar area. The dining room is super modern, breezy with a touch of class. It offers an excellent menu with a good selections of wine. This restaurant would be the most expensive on the island. We didn't eat here but just checked the menu out, which looked very interesting.

The Jetty Café is located overlooking the ferry jetty on Brammo Bay. The cafe is a busy and lively lunch and breakfast spot. The menu specializes in fresh seafood and we found it to be excellent. A terrific spot for coffee too.
