BY Plane- Regular 3 daily flights operate from Cairns Airport to Dunk Island, it takes 45minutes with Hinderland Aviation.

Please note passengers on connecting scheduled flights to Dunk Island may be limited to one suitcase and one small carry-on item of hand luggage each. A limit of 16kg applies (subject to loading restrictions and the small plane.

Dunk Island is located approximately two hours drive south from Cairns and 3hrs north of Townsville. It lies 4km off shore from beautiful Mission Beach . You cannot take your car over to Dunk Island, you must go by water taxi or ferry.

All connections can be organized through Voyages Resort. www.voyages.com.au . There is ample parking available at Wongaling Beach Water Taxi office or at Clump Point jetty.

The water taxi departs from Wongaling Beach, which is approx 10minutes drive south from Mission Beach . Tickets can be purchased at the water taxi office.

8.30am - 9.30am – 11.00am – 12.30pm – 2.30pm and 4pm. – (10mins ride).

1. Catching the quick cat ferry from Clump Point which departs at 8.30am 10am and 2pm. returning from Dunk Island Jetty at 1.30pm 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

The ferry ride takes 25 minutes and there are no car facilities. Buses operate from Mission Beach to the jetty. Costs approx $40.00AUD return.

Be prepared about the long boat trip from mission beach to dunk island. It takes 45 mins on the boat 'Kavanagh' and seems like 1hr 45. If you can afford to, go by the catamaran as its very quick and saves time wasting on the slow boat.
