This camping ground really is off the beaten track.

It is only accessible by four wheel drive and there are no facilities at all. It is however quite beautiful and secluded. Tall gum trees are scattered throughout this shaded grassy clearing beside a section of Broken River. You may even be lucky enough to spot a platypus.

To camp you will need to obtain a permit at the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service in Eungella or Mackay. Also it is advised to be watchful of old mine shafts if hiking throughout the surrounding forest.

Sky Window view.

This lookout is found on the Sky Window walking trail.

This trail is only a short circuit - 300 metres.

It is wheel chair friendly and starts and finishes at the Sky Window picnic area.

Approach to the lookout.

This lookout has wonderful views down over the valley.

It is situated north of Eungella township on the Dalrymple road.
