This camping ground really is off the beaten track.
It is only accessible by four wheel drive and there are no facilities at all. It is however quite beautiful and secluded. Tall gum trees are scattered throughout this shaded grassy clearing beside a section of Broken River. You may even be lucky enough to spot a platypus.
To camp you will need to obtain a permit at the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service in Eungella or Mackay. Also it is advised to be watchful of old mine shafts if hiking throughout the surrounding forest.
