The best part of the tours is the nights spent with the groups, cooking, eating and drinking. After ingesting the sand-covered food, everyone congregates around the alcohol, util most or all of it is gone. Especially fun is the beach version of this as the sun sets.

You can stay the night on Fraser island, but there arenīt many rooms or so. But there is plenty of room at the beach, on Camping Places or just where you find a place..
Itīs a wonderful experience.
Most of the time you wouldnīt even need a tent, its warm enough - but beware of Dingoes (donīt leave any food around) and these biting flies.
The picture shows the Morning at the beach.
Thereīs a little Creek nearby, the water flows in the Sea.
Ah, and the best: in the morning, the beach looks clear like fresh washed, and if you start early enough, you have it all to yourself.

but: bring something to eat and drink

I spent 4 days on the Island...and every night we saw Dingos next to our tents!!!
Keep the fire...and don't go next to them!!!

You will be spending your nights on Fraser around your camp drinking, singing and doing your best to freak people out about the dingos that can be spotted from time to time. When you are cooking dinner you will see dingos around the camp but if you don't feed them they will leave after a while. Theme: Eating and Drinking

Being a good enough distance from any major cities, one of the best night time activities to do on
Fraser Island is to go stargazing late at night.
Move away from any light sources bringing a lantern or flashlight with you and find a spot
somewhere near the beach to look at the stars.
For many Australians who are used to the night sky this may not be such a big deal. But,
for people like me who are from places where there is just too much city light, star gazing
like this is a rare experience.
Luckily, when we were there, there were not many clouds in the sky. My wife and I spent
a few hours just staring up at the Milky Way from down under. But, being from the Northern Hemisphere this sky was something totally new.
Unfortunately my camera isn't good for taking pictures of the night sky. So, I can even
come close to showing how magnificent the night sky looks.
I've also heard that in the outback the stargazing experience is even better. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
