Luggage and bags: make sure you pack a beach bag so you can keep all your things in there when you go swimming, but make sure you dont mind if it gets sandy.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Summer is really good, just wear whatever you want.... as long as it doesnt involve much haha!
Really light clothing, or better still stay at the beach or day in your togs :)
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring PLENTY of sunscreen, if you forget the best thing for sunburn is Aloe vera gel which you can get from supermarkets or chemists.
Insect Repellent for Summer is a MUST, especially if your going camping.
Always carry lip balm coz your lips can get really dry here, not very good for kissing haha!

Luggage and bags: Sarah and I packed a single bag, which I would advise against. Pack one bag per person, and for ease, if you are there for a long weekend, keep it under 7kgs so that you can carry on. We ran into alot of trouble with this at the Brisbane Airport.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring one good pair of walking shoes, as there is so much to experience. Also, bring a sand slipper or flip flop for beach activities.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Readily available here, don't waste too much valuable space.
Photo Equipment: Invest in at least a 512MB card, there is plenty to take photos of.
Miscellaneous: In June, I was very comfortable with shorts and polo shirts or t-shirts, but at night it was just cold enough for a light pullover.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Casual, lightweight clothes are generally worn on the Gold Coast. A jacket or other suitable outfit may be required in some nightclubs and restaurants. Comfortable shoes are a must for hiking though National Parks.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: This really depends where youre coming from !!
I live here and wear a T Shirt and Shorts all year round, even on winter nights. If youre from Melbourne, Europe etc. you'll find it very mild. If youre coming from Cairns, South East Asia etc perhaps long pants and a jacket.
To be quantitative: Daytime temperatures 21-23C, Nightime 12-14C. Going inland nightime temperatures get colder.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: We have a very mild climate on the coast, even in winter so heavy or thick winter garments are not necessary although a jacket and umbrella would be useful as a stand by just in case they are needed.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Pack the insect repellant as we have plenty of midges and mossies especially in Summer, apart from this a good 15 plus sunscreen and your usual first aid essentials are all that's needed.
Photo Equipment: Our electrical current is 240 volts and we use three pin plugs, plug adaptors are no doubt available but best to check first. Batteries for most types of cameras are available from camera shops or in some cases pharmacies and chain stores have them.
