My Oliver's Kitchen is the name of the Café/Restaurant at the SURFERS PARADISE SURF LIFE-SAVING CLUB

On a lovely sunny winters day in June, we came here with family for lunch. Olivers Kitchen is located across the road from the beach and has a wide variety of meals on the menu, all under $10 and for children under $7.50. There were a few more expensive meals priced around $13.50. We all chose a $9.90 meal. I had battered Flathead, chips and salad, my husband, schnitzel, chips and salad.

Once ordered, we made our way upstairs to find a table. It wasn't long and our meal arrived, a very good size and very nice, no complaints here, nor from anybody else, everybody was happy and surprised at the size meal we all got for $9.90. Even the children received quite big meals.
After lunch, we made our way to the comfortable seats on the balcony, where we talked, enjoyed a drink and the beach and ocean views.

All was very nice, and we will be returning here again!
    Dress is clean and casual
Just turn up, they don't take bookings.

The menu is listed on the website.

    OPEN Monday-Sunday 6.30am - 11.30pm

    Breakfast 7am - 12 noon
    Lunch 11am - 4pm
    Dinner 5pm - 8.30pm

    Top-One Restaurant: Yum-Cha

by aberacadabra Updated Nov 15, 2007

I'd rate Top-One as the best Yum Cha (Dim Sum) place in SE Queensland. It's better than what I've had in Sunnybank, Brisbane. Service is prompt and the waitresses take time to explain what's available, and maybe the odd "where are you from?" and "oh I'm cantonese too"s. You're not made to feel your table is needed in the next instance like in many other chinese restaurants. It is very unhurried which is what traditional Cantonese brunches ought to be.

They also do ala-carte lunches and dinners.

The view of the Broadwater from the restaurant is great.

Favorite Dish: Basically, most things are good though I haven't tried the offals and chickens legs as I am impartial to non-muscular meats.

I liked their freshly cooked egg tarts - my favorite; and meat dumplings (char siew pao)

Seafood Mania: Fresh Seafood????? I am not sure.....

by shindybaby Updated Feb 13, 2004

During the lunch hour, this restaurant is the most crowded restaurant in the street. And the food looks nice.... So I and Baby decided to have lunch there.....

However, we were very disappointed.... first, there are lots of flies around which are really annoying.... (though there are always lots of flies in Australia!!)

Second, the food looks good, but it doesn't really taste very good.... It seems that the seafood was not actually fresh. I guess the seafood were packaged food which can also be found in the supermarket.... The food does not worth such a price......

    Favorite Dish: Not really.....

Yellowfin Seafood: One of our favourite restaurants on the Gold Coast

by JillandStacey Written Jun 18, 2010

One of the best places for seafood on the Gold Coast! They have the freshest tasting fish which is then used in so many creative ways! One of my favourite entrees is the Salt & Pepper Calamari and my favourite main meal is the Snapper!! It's so good!

Other then the food, they have a good wine selection and all the staff are super friendly!

Favorite Dish: Top 2 favourite dishes are the Salt & Pepper Calamari and the Snapper! They are both made and presented in creative ways which makes them both pretty to look at and mouth wateringly delicious!

You're probably already familiar with the global brand of Nando's.
At Surfers, the Nando's here is a very small branch, but there are tables available for dining-in.

    Wasdee Surfers: Decent Thai Fare

We stopped in at this Thai Restaurant for dinner. I enjoyed the meal, although I felt a little bit rushed.

Food was decent without being outstanding, and price wise it was reasonable.
