Great Keppel has a small airstrip and there are a few operators who run charter flights from Rockhampton if travelling in the catamaran from Rosslyn Bay is not your thing (or you really want to maximise your time on the island).
The resort actually advertises a schedule of flights that will depart if there are 2 or more passengers. These flights are $80 one way and take approximately 20 minutes. You can book these flights from the Resort directly. I believe thay are time to meet with the major aircraft arrivals in Rockhampton from other Australian cities.
Just a note - if you are not a fan of small aircraft, these would not be for you! All we saw arriving at the airport were single engined propellor planes.
Just had a quick look, there is also a private charter airlines servicing the island as well. Check out http://www.aircapricorn.com/master.htm if you want informtion on that.

Most people arriving on Great Keppel will catch a bus to Rosslyn Bay marina on the mainland - midway between Rockhampton and Yeppoon and then catch the Freedom Fast Cat over to the island. The freey is run by a private company and I believe you buy your tickets when making your booking at the Resort. They run three ferries a day to the Island with departures at 9am, 11.30am and 3.30pm, with the ferries returning to the mainland at 10am, 2.15pm and 4.15pm.
Fares for a return transfer are: Adult $35, Child $18
When you reach the island there is no jetty so the ferries run up to the beach and drop a gangway down at the front. So you step straight off the ferry and onto the beautiful white sand! Your luggage is picked up by the resort and taken to your room - so my tip is to take a small towel and swimming costume, sunscreen etc in a small bag on your person so you can have a swim before your room is ready (usually around 2pm).

There are two ferry companies operating from Rosslyn Bay Boat Harbour to Great Keppel Island. Rosslyn Bay is about a 40 minute drive from Rockhapmton, via Yepoon. There are various buses that go to Rosslyn Bay, as well as transferrs from some of the backpacker hostels. If you're driving, there is a security carpark on the way which will drop you at the marina and pick you up when you get back. It cost's $8 per night.
The ferry services are run by Freedon Fast Cats, which depart Rosslyn Bay at 9am, 11:30am and 3pm daily, and leave Great Keppel at 10am, 2pm and 4pm. Keppel Tourist Services leaves Rosslyn Bay at 9:15, 11:30 and 3:30, and depart Greak Keppel at 8:15, 2pm and 4:30pm. The cost for a return trip on both services is A$25 for students or A$31 for adults. Most of the accomodation places will pick you up on the beach when you arrive.
There is also an air strip on the island, so if you have a bit more cash you can fly there from Rockhampron airport. For more info phone Rockhampton Aero Club on (07) 4922 4596.
