One Tree Hill is one of the highest points on the island which is easily reached by road, you can drive your cart there in 5 minutes or catch the free island bus. For those who are fit and like to hike you can walk there in 30 minutes.
The bar opens at 4:30pm for "Sunset Cocktails" and the afternoon we went about 50 people turned up. It was a great gathering with many groups bringing snacks to enjoy with their drinks. As this is a totally outdoors event you can easily bring your own beer etc should you wish, and do not forget to wear a hat as the sun can still be fierce. We were there for an 90 minutes and had a great time enjoying the brilliant sunset.

The Whitsunday Islands are a paradise to be explored, islands and coral reefs abound, the waters have a tremendous variety of fish and their colour will amaze you. The waters are a snorklers paradise just waiting for you. Many people like to do their own thing, to give the charter boats a miss and you can easily do this , just hire the boat that suits you. Good times await you in the waters off Hamilton Island.

You are going to look at the picture and say "not another walk up some mountain for gret views Lachy?!". Well, this one is a much easier way to score some views. Now don't laugh at me for this one, but head to the Reef View towers - the big tall ones and jump in the lift....press the 12th floor and the turn 180 degrees. There you have it, a stunning view of the beach and resort laid out below you through the glass-sided elevator!
If you are staying in the Reef View towers you will probably scoff, as you have this view from your balcony...but, if like us you had views much closer to the ground, then it is worth a lookie!
