Sorry, will find a better photo soon by Angelblue71 You must see Whitehaven Beach. It is abosultely beautiful and has been voted internationally as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It does make a difference when you go though, having been a few times, this last time was very overcast and high tide and unfortunately it didn't look anywhere near as amazing as it does normally. If you can afford a private yacht or boat charter, I'd highly recommend it. Some of the tours out there did not seem too pleasant at all. We were lucky enough to meet some great people who invited us out on their yacht and even cooked us a bbq.Talk about lucky. Leave a Comment Address: Somewhere in the WhitsundaysDirections: Left at Long island and chuck a right at Whitsunday Island (just kidding, please don't follow my directions, you'll end up in New Guinea.

Dolphin Pool View over Beach To Whitsundays by Mikebb, 4 more photos There are many pools available to resort guests, all are of different size and have attributes fitting their location, some pools are located for individual resort accommodations, where others are located in a central position close to the beach, restaurants and resort shops. We swam at the Main Pool which was a large pool designed around the landscape, with a bar in the pool where you can swim up and sit in the water with your drink. This pool had some secluded spots where you could soak up the sun and read a book without being disturbed. There was another nice pool , the Dolphin Pool which was alongside the Toucan Tango Cafe & Bar which enabled you to have breakfast or lunch either before or after a swim, or just sit having a coffee and look out over the pool and beautiful gardens. Fabulous views are guaranteed from most parts of Hamilton Island, however our favourite was One Tree Hill one of the highest points on the island and easy to reach by buggy or free bus service. The expansive views of the islands and beautiful waters will always remain in your memory but you must take your camera show you can share the moment with family and friends. I recommend you take a drink with you to quench your thirst. Leave a Comment

The marina is the place to go when you have had enough of the resort pools and restaurants. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk from most resort accommodation and when you arrive you are greeted by the complete range of craft from small runabouts to luxury launches which travel the world. For those interested in doing their own thing you can hire powered runabouts to to go fishing or just look around the harbour and island bays, or perhaps hire a sail boat for a day or two. There are charter boats which will take you to the coral reefs, fishing etc. There are a number of shops around the marina including the General Store for grocery items, clothing shops, ice cream parlour, restaurants etc . Whitsunday Island day trip by aussirose What a great way to spend a day!!! Checking out the islands!!! We went to South Molle, Daydream and another small one where Howard and Kelli went diving. I liked South Molle the best. Another consideration is the outter reef day trip. We saw the pontoon on the sea flight adventure. I heard it is better than the knuckle reef one we went on from Airlie Beach. See the link below. Leave a Comment

We did a day trip out to the Fantasea Reefworld which was a great experience, except for Georgia who wasnt too keen on the idea! No visit to the Whitsundays would be complete without a visit to one of the Wonders of the World - The Great Barrier Reef. Leave a Comment

Our Golf Buggy! by lindyz Modes of transport on Hamilton Island are pretty much "walking" or "hire a golf buggy" - at least when we were there that was the case. It was a lot of fun to hire the golf buggy and just go cruising around the Island, plus the kids thought it was a real novelty. Hamilton Island is HUGE and you could not see it all just by walking places. Leave a Comment

If you are into water sports, then this is the place for you. There are plenty to partake in, including windsurfing, jet-skiing, sailing etc etc. and most of them (the non-motorised ones anyway) are included in your holiday price and free to use, at least they were when we were there!
