Very rude shopkeepers, one bad experience after the other. Not helpful, not friendly, make you feel like all they want is your cash then 'move on please'. Beautiful scenery but lousy locals.
Unique Suggestions: Bearable... um... just don't ask anyone questions, don't expect a smile and don't waste your money on this place.
Fun Alternatives: Alternative would be anywhere other than Kuranda, it's not the only rainforest town and by far not the nicest one, just the most tourism-oriented... ironic because they treat tourists like crap!
