Hiring a moke.

The problem with hiring a moke on Magnetic Island you cannot go down any of the dirt roads, which restricts your limitation of seeing the best of the island.

Its great fun if you just want to have a little exploration and see the sights but visiting the more remote parts of the island is totally out of the question.

If you really want to see everything, then I highly recommend you hire a car from Townsville and take it across on the car ferry.

However, if you just want to stay on Magnetic and use the car to get to Horseshoe Bay or Picnic bay then this is a good option as you really do NEED a car on the island. It's incredibly hilly and I would HATE not to have a car !

Beware of Road Runner scooter hire. They make you pay a $100 deposit and refuse to give it back because of existing damage on the scooter which I did not cause.
