This is not a review as such...just a lead in to the reviews
I made a mistake and put Flaxton Gardens in "Things to Do"...Was going to change it eventually but now think the French Complex might be better there as well ....so
For Dining in the evening I suggest
Have a look at Flaxton Gardens
and now look at The French Restaurant with the whole complex included.

Mapleton Tavern is known for it great food. It offers a range of food from standard pub food like burgers, fish and chips and bangers and mash to gourmet burgers and Asian & Continental style. The steaks are cook according to taste - Medium rare is medium rare.
Being a pub there is no table service and you order meals at the counter and return to collect them when the buzzer you are given sounds.
The bar has a good range of beers but limited wine list. Not to worry - the bottle shop on the premises has an excellent variety.
The view from the verandah is spectacular
Favorite Dish: I really enjoy any of the steaks which are cooked just right and are served with vegetables or chips and salad and a variety of sauces like mushroom, pepper and red wine.
