O'Malleys Irish Pub: A taste of Ireland

2013....BREAKING NEWS Mc Guinness & Co have been discovered by billionaire Clive Palmer and are being whisked away on a World Tour in February 2013....This is in preparation for the building of Titanic2

We have been quite often early evening to enjoy the 'Irish cuisine'....the actual Irish music (usually a recording) is usually in the day. Live entertainment 6 days a week is usually more for the crowds.

Alert...The paragraph above is a 'corker'....three 'usuallys'...must fix it sometime!

An absolutely fabulous Australian Irish band, McGuinness &Co plays Thursday nights from 8.00pm...In fact it is a good idea to book in for your meal for that night......2012
Our Irish friend Mary from Navan sang a ballad for them only last year.....maybe you will be invited to sing? Well maybe just join in with The Wild Rover or have a bit of a jig....

The pub have a karaoke session 8.30pm to 12 am Sundays....never been to that. We have been to St Paddy's day though...great fun and very crowded.

Oh and in the day there are lunch specials ...contemporary dishes as well as Irish fare.

Oh you will enjoy the Irish decor....very cosy...and on Thursday night the Irish meals are only $A15....and the Guinness ? It was $5 but it is a little more now in 2013!

Late night there is a 'bouncer'

Dress Code: Just be tidy in the evening

Got there at Omalley's pub for fun, listening to the nice band rendering Irish music. Enjoyed dancing and joined the band just for picture taking and a little bit of Irish song w/the band.We were there on St. Patrick's Day. We got our sumptous meal having lamb shank w/mixed veggies followed w/lemon tea and lots of people are drinking Guinness.

Dress Code: You can wear casual or something special.

O'malleys.: Great pub with lively atmosphere.

I was twice at O'Malleys pub when i was in Mooloolaba and i thought it was a real nice place.
First time i was there was on thursday where they had 10 dolar specials on the menu and a live folk band which i really enjoyed.
There was a very friendly and lively atmosphere there and people of all ages.
Second time i was there was on friday and the place was very youngish, but i liked the vibe there even if i was a bit older than the rest of the people there.
They have both the regular aussie lagers there aswell as a bit of micro brew to satisfy beer nuts like me, so i was reall happy when i was there.
Really cool place that i would recommend for people who like to party in an informal way.

Wharf Tavern: Big Night out on the coast

by Beachcomber Updated Feb 6, 2005

The Wharf Tavern is probably the most popular Night Club in Mooloolaba. It is known by the locals as 'Fridays' as it used to be called.
Downstairs are bars, pokies, lounges, outside deck, pool tables and often a live band plays.
Upstairs (which you have to pay for $7 entry fee) is the night club. Here there are bar's, a dance floor, lounges and seats.

Dress Code: The dress code here is pretty casual. For guys, long pants, a shirt and covered shoes. Girls - Normal club wear.
