I borrowed a bicycle from the hostel i stayed at in mooloolaba one day and went for a little bicycle tour of Mooloolaba and cycling there was pretty ok.
Mooloolaba is a town that takes sports serious and they have some streets with bikelanes and you have a good bike/walking path along the beach aswell.
Just be ware that Australia is not the biggest cycling nation on earth, so the car drivers might not always be aware of cyclists by the side of the road, but in general cycling in Mooloolaba was pretty ok.
