    The water taxi takes the passengers to Dunwich, which is on the western part of the island. To get to the eatern part, where the long beach is, You need to catch a bus.

    Stradbroke Island Buses operates a bus service between Dunwich and Point Lookout (limited services to Amity Point).

    You can take your car on the ferrys. There are 2 different companies and ferries go every hour or so. I always think that I am on holidays when we drive onto the ferry. The trip takes 35 to 45 minutes .
    If you are not taking the car you can take a flyer or taxi and catch the local bus service once there.
