Shared Zones : Cars and Pedestrians

by pedroswift Written Jun 6, 2013

If you are driving your own vehicle in the Redcliffe area, you should be aware of the designated shared zones where pedestrians cross roads.
    People have priority.
Drivers must give way and local drivers are very disciplined to do so and pedestrians (who are locals) do expect everyone to be aware of the rules. Some are more trusting than they should be and step in front of oncoming cars without concern.

Unfortunatly there is not a great deal of public tranaport avaliable in or to redcliffe BUT, if you're feelin fit then getting around once your here is not a problem. There is designated bike ways riddled through the place and a water front walkway that streaches from one point to the other (Wood Pt - Scarborough Pt). OTher wise try your luck wit an orange cab.
