Ettamogah Pub Area Bruce Highway: A Cluster of Shops
Well it is not one shop . There are a variety of shops and things to buy around the Etamogah Pub which is about an hour north of Brisbane on the Bruce Highway. You can fill up with petrol and visit the pub and the touristy Aussi World while you are there. Much nicer for food though is a bit further back near the Caloundra turnoff "Daisy's Place" (used to be Rustic Cabin) or if you continue to Buderim (where you will find Le Baroque] via the marked exit.But where I want you to go is to a couple of places nearby which actually sell Australian made goods. You will see these shops on the left as you drive toward the pub entry . And wait for it ...one sells opals , thats "Opals Down Under"and the other called "Skin Thing" has an array of sheepskin for your perusal. There are some small opal gifts available which make ideal true blue Aussie gifts.You might like to look at the Opal website...
