    If you have a car and some time up your sleeve, then I highly recommend you take a drive to Port Hinchinbrook and hop onto one of the Hinchinbrook cruises which take in the breathtaking and beautiful Hinchinbrook Passage and Island.

    You can either stay at Hinchinbrook Island wilderness lodge or at Port Hinchinbrook Resort.

    Hinchinbrook is located half way between Townsville and Mission Beach.

    Cairns - 185kms
    Townsville - 160kms

    You can also reach this spot by catching a coach from Townsville or hoping onto a train to Cardwell.
