Couran Cove had such a nice feel about it - it wasn't a party island so the clientelle were more there to enjoy the natural beauty than have huge binge-drinking nights, the resort also respected the environment and tried to incorporate the outdoors into the design by having great open cabins with lots of louvers and netting to allow the refreshing summer breeze through.
I also thought it was great that they do not sell tobacco products on the island (as they are promoting a healthy outdoor lifestyle - so you weren't constantly pestered by smokers!)
If outdoors, natural and classy is your thing then I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
The accommodation was architectually very smart, they made use of materials that epitomise Australian life such as louvers and corrugated iron and comine them to create beautiful and very practical accommodation.
This is a view of one of the overwater marine apartments and the main reception area in the background.
The fact that there is no cars makes it feel so peaceful. You feel so healthy and fit.
Fondest memory: The wallabies everywhere.
