Every morning at 8am the dolphins come down to the jetty to get a feed.
The pod of up to 8 dolphins reside in the local area around Tin Can Bay. The feeding has gone on over generations of dolphins as a result of fisherman starting many years ago when a dolphin was nursed back to health after being badly injured.
The number of dolphins showing up for a feed of fish varies each day. Often it is only about 2 or 3.
The feeding is primarily for the young kids but anyone can have a go. The cost is a gold coin donation.

Feeding the Dolphins would be an awesome experience, but you need to be out there quite early in the morning. They told us around 7am would be a good time.
Unfortunately we arrived later in the day, so did not get to do this.
Later that day we we headed off for Rainbow Beach.
