This is a general tip about shopping.
Toowoomba basically has everything, and not just one of everything. Internet access, music, camera equipment, chemists, a department store, clothing, $2 shop, fast food, slow food, shoes, socks, camping gear. You don't need to bring anything with you! The shops will have it.
However, I don't think they do Sunday trade.
There is even Neo Tokyo, a store that sells imported candy, manga DVDs and toys.
What to buy: Actually, I didn't see anything kitsch here... but I'm sure I wasn't looking hard enough for the store that sells Toowoomba snowdomes.
What to pay: Same as anywhere else.

This is the largest shopping mall in Toowoomba and the main attraction for everybody in the Darling Downs. The food court reminds me of the one in Jurong Point Singapore, because they also serve Chinese Economy rice. However, it certainly cannot be compared to the big food courts available in KL shopping malls like KLCC and Midvalley.
What to buy: Walk into any chemist (pharmacy), you'll be able to find vitamins and other supplements in bulk bottles of 400-500 pills each. Cheap definitely!
Don't come here for clothes, shoes or accessories though. I found them to be rather outdated or conservative.
What to pay: An average meal at the food court would cost you less than AUD15 and well, other goods are pretty much standard.
