    Beach

Magnetic Island, just a 20-minute trip from Townsville, is a beautiful tropical island with 22 bays and spectacular fringing reefs.
Much of the island is national parkland, so you can explore the lush gullies, granite hills, rainforests and beach to your heart's content.

Do some koala spotting, moke it around the island when you don't feel like walking, and dine at the superb restaurants.

Seems every afternoon a flock of Townsvillian's do the walk to the top of Castle Hill. The panoramic views are worth it! Sunset or sunrise definately the best time of day.

    Townsville Beach

Townsville has a nice stretch of fine sandy beach and being in the tropics, it's usually warm enough to get out there on it.
From the beach you get a nice view of nearby Mgnetic Island.

    David House

One of the fine examples of the old architecture when settlers arrived here can be seen at the David House. The house is probably one of the best kept out of the old era.

Right on the edge of the city centre rises the Castle Hill which is a stunning point to see the town and the surrounding area from an eagles eye perspective.
