What was once an old cow paddock is now a tropical garden. The first time I remember being so envious. How come some people are so clever I thought? A pond, waterfalls...a delight to the senses. This venue being away from the maddening crowd...no parking problems and is popular for weddings and special functions.
Most of the dining is "al fresco"
And they run a cooking school and there is a shop...just peek at the website for all that.
You might even find some frozen food on sale...from "The Spirit House"in some of the shops... there is one on Buderim.
Favorite Dish: Food tends to be Asian with a leaning towards Thai.
One of the latest ideas here is "shared dining" so you can sample more than one of the dishes on offer. "Plates are designed to share". Chinese places do this of course but not with this elegance.
I do find price per person below a bit tricky...is this for a main course or "all inclusive" or what?.
For a sharing plate entrees , a couple glasses wine and a main you need to allow about $A100 but of course that does not include sweets or the most expensive fare.

Favorite Dish: From the Shared Dining menu:
Steamed ***ake(you have to be joking this is a genuine dish) Mushroom Dumplings & Cashews with Sweet Ginger Lime Sauce.

This little a little organic cafe is called "Goodness Gracious". And it is much much more. than a place to have brekky..we bought an old Sunbeam mixmaster after breakfast one time and the mixmaster is still going while a brand new one someone else has is broken. Mine has not had much use I must confess. And there is an old Singer sewing machine for $A250...be great if the power fails as I have been telling my daughters!
And they have some old books and an interesting array of vintage/retro goods . Today there were two original gollywogs for sale(maybe the "wog" bit will be censored!) And then some organic ginger.
Now I think it is a family run thing. Brother and sister with Mum and two sons were there today. One lad played the didgeridoo while the younger served coffee. The cafe is getting very popular as more people discover it...probably by word of mouth and from a bit of a sign on the highway.
Now what is on the menu? Well there is a Big Brekky for $A14. We often choose home made bake beans. Today it was more like lunch so potato fritters with salad was a mutual choice. Followed with Date and Pear cake, sauce and cream (David only...nothing sweet about me). All organic and some things home grown .
So there you are a great place after you have been to the Yandina Saturday market where there are plants and flowers and some home cooking...not really sophisticated...more country. Oh and some fruit and vegetables and tools too (an ideal souvenir...but a bit heavy in the plane).
Goodness Gracious is open Monday to Saturday for breakfast and lunch. Steven and Sandee look forward to your visit.

What a delight it was for my husband and I to sit under an outdoor setting at the Ginger Factory, admiring the beautiful gardens, whilst enjoying a Devonshire morning tea.
And just how nice this morning tea was!.......
The "Ginger" Scone was still hot from the oven, and ever so light. A large spoonful of Ginger Jam [this was delicious!] and a large serve of cream.
We could have a choice of what-ever type of Coffee we liked!
All of this for the sum of $5.50......2010price.
Don't be afraid if you are not keen on Ginger, the flavor was very mild, but very nice!
Open Daily......... 9am-5pm
