    City Spot cafe, Rundle Street

    City Spot is a no frills cafe / take-away shop on the busy shopping street of Rundle Street in the centre of Adelaide. You can identify it from its bright yellow signage advertising the fact that it sells yiros (gyros) and falafel.

    I ate here one lunchtime during a visit to the city in April 2006.

    There is a large menu of snack foods, including:

    pies;
    pasties;
    sandwiches;
    hotdogs;
    burgers;
    fish and chips;
    kebabs and gyros;
    falafel;
    all day English breakfast.

    There are a couple of small tables inside, but it was a nice day so I took my food and sat on a bench outside the campus of the nearby University of South Australia.

    Favorite Dish: I opted for:

    Chips and gravy - Cost: 4.50 AUD

    A large portion of chips in a tinfoil carton with thick beef gravy!

    An ideal place for lunch if you're on a tight budget and looking for something to eat on the move.
