Harbour town is a great place to shop. Adelaide doesnt really have fantastic shopping but harbour town is really good. . It is close to glenelg which is a must to visit when you go to Adelaide.
What to buy: they have plenty of good buys for sporting clothes, womens clothes, chidrens clothes, gifts and shoes. There are plenty of food shops and great coffee stops too
What to pay: Cheaper than retail.

Up to 60% off normal retail prices, Harbourtown features an array of discount shops. Toyworld, Canterbury Lace, Pumpkin Patch, Red Vanilla and Jag are just a few of the retailers, I picked up some bargain Sachi, Wittner and Tony Bianco shoes. Also houses food retails for that well earned coffee.
What to buy: Size 10 feet? This is your shoe paradise. I bought 3 pairs in an hour after trawling the streets of Perth for the last few months without much luck. I'll be going back before I leave.
What to pay: Depends what limit you set yourself.

Harbour Town is one of Adelaide's newest shopping destinations and specialises in outlet stores - mostly retail chains selling products at cheaper-than-usual prices. There are quite a few clothes and shoe shops, but also stores selling a variety of other things like homewares, books, bags, etc.
If you're lucky you can find some nice bargains. I've found it can be a bit hit-and-miss - for example there are lots of fairly ugly clothes - but sometimes you will find good things.
The nicest thing about Harbour Town, apart from the prices, is that it is outdoors; they've built a 'street' of shops facing each other but the path between them is not roofed in. It's right next to the airport.
