If you're in to Australian history you can visit Wills grave which is about 25 km west of the town. Wills was on of the famous forsaken explorers, burke and wills who followed Sturt in the exploration or this part of the country in 1861.

The Dig Tree

54 km east of innamincka is the famous 'Dig' tree where supplies were left for the explorers. It is actually just on the inside of the QLD border. It was the cruellest irony of the ill-fated expedition, the camp was abandoned by William Brahe only 7 hours before the arrival of Burke and Wills.
