Iron Knob Things to Do
As said in the intro, Iron Knob is nearly a Ghost town.
If you like this kind of town, then you will find some interesting sights, like the early Miner's cottage, built out of corrugated iron and still lived into today.
What about the little Church, another old building, nothing fancy here, it too is built out of corrugated iron. This is part of Australia's history, you won't find Churches like this one in many parts of Australia.
Near the town entrance is a display of some of the old mining equipment, worth a look at if you have never seen it before.
And last of all, it looks like they may have an influx of visitors.....
Emu signs were scattered on all the streets around the town!Related to:

To reach Iron Knob, we had to take the road in from the Highway. As we drove in, the "overburden" heaps of ore looked enormous. The ore is a reddish colour, but you will see other colours too.
You can take a tour of the Iron Knob Mine which sits directly behind the town.
I didn't do this, but go and see the Iron Knob Tourist Centre, and from there you can do the town and mine tour.
