American River

Between Kingscote and Penneshaw there is a nice bay where you can watch the Pelicans.
There is Pelican feeding there every evening at 4:30. You get a free bucket of fish to feed to them.
The American River is a holiday settlement so you see a lot of nice boats as well.

Reeves Point Historical Site is very pretty spot with a nice lawn and shade trees.
The point itself is a good spot to look for waterbirds.
This was one of our favorite places to hang out.
