You can bet on getting a good meal if it is where Truckies stop for food.
Here, at Kingston Shell Roadhouse, is where Truckies stop for food. We ordered, and it wasn't long before our meals came out. They looked excellent, and they were huge! Struggling to eat the lot, I eventually did! Cooked to perfection, I thoroughly enjoyed my Fish & Chips and big salad. It was quite cheap too!
Definitely would return here again!
More of a cafe style restaurant and tourist stop, the Big Lobster features Larry the Lobster's special menu. Anyone, from young child to ageing adult will feel welcome at the Big Lobster. There's a playground inside for kids, bench type seating for take away foods and a dining area with bar for more formal lunches and dinners.
The main fare? Lobster of course, known locally as crayfish. Natural, or cooked with suaces, these are mighty fine tasting delights, albeit pricey at times!
Favorite Dish:
Lobster Thermadore is quite lovely, although the lobster salad is also good, then there's the lobster sandwiches, etc. But if your taste and pocket doesn't suit, there is also other local and imported seafood, also steaks and other dishes to suit most people. I adore the Oysters Kilpatrick, but I'd eat them anyway they come!
Look for the big red lobster on the main highway into Kingston!
