Check out all the birds that live in this area. If you are very lucky you will see the elusive glossy black cockatoo which is now on the endangered list. Unfortunately we were not that lucky.
We did see birds in our garden and at the beach.
The white bird in picture #2 thought he lived at our house.
Each evening at dusk, we would see Tammar wallabies all around the area.
If we were just coming back from a day of sightseeing we had to creep along the roads, for fear of hitting one on our way to the house.
In the evening, near the shore in town, there are guides that will take you on a tour down a wooden walkway, to see the little penguins, as they come back from their day at sea.
You must remain very quiet and you are not allowed to use your flash on your camera.
From our house we could hear the Pengins chattering, very early every morning as they assembled to leave for the day.
They are very noisy for their small size.
