Penneshaw Transportation

The best way to get around Penneshaw is either by walking or having your own rental car. We chose the latter most of the time.
You can bring the car with you from the mainland or rent a car on the island.

The best way to get to Kangaroo Island from the mainland is to take the car ferry.
It is called the Sea Link and it leaves from Cape Jervis. The crossing takes 45 minutes .
You can take your car with you on the ship or wait and rent a car after you get to the island.
We took ours with us. You do have to get approval from the rental company before you do this.
The ferry will dock in Penneshaw.
