Great cafe with built in gormet deli. A real treat. You can't go past the delicious bagettes for lunch. I had the one with marinated Aussie fetta, marinated capsicum, sun dried tomato, pesto and chicken. They warm it up, it is super! And just enough for lunch, not a huge mega roll! Great fresh juices too.more

Coming to The Coonawarra/Penola from Adelaide one of the greatest services you can do yourself is to stop off at The Adelaide Central Markets on your way. These markets are some of the best i have ever seen (in any country) and the food selection is superb.
We found having wonderful olives, dips, cheeses, bread and fruit and so on made our time in Penola so much more enjoyable. Yes there are restaurants and shops, but sometimes you just want to stay in, uncork a bottle of coonawarra red and enjoy some bits and bobs.
Pack a hamper - you won't regret it!!
